How Long Will I Have to Wait for My New Garage Door to Be Delivered?
Delivery usually takes between 10 and 28 working days from your cleared funds being received depending on the style of garage door you have ordered, you can request a delivery update at anytime by calling us on 0845 450 7330 or Emailing Us. Some special order garage doors can take up to 56 days. Electric Openers and small accessories may be sent in advance of your door by post or courier for next day delivery. I’m in a Hurry, Can I Pay Extra to Get My Door Delivered Faster?
All the manufacturers operate on a first come first served basis to make it fairer for everybody. We can request a fast track delivery but there is no guarantee that they will be able to help. Stock garage doors will be delivered on the next available weekly run to your area.
Can I Have a Specific Delivery Date and Time Slot?
As garage doors are bulky and difficult to transport, we use specialist vehicles and deliveries to your area are on a fixed weekly run therefore we cannot alter our delivery route, we will however give a morning or afternoon slot and the delivery driver can give you a call 1 hour in advance if requested. How Much Notice Will I Get of My Garage Door Delivery?
We will email or call you at least 3 days in advance of your delivery taking place. We will also give you the week that we expect your garage door to be delivered when you place your order based on the manufacturer’s current lead time. Do I Need to Be There When My Garage Door Gets Delivered?
Garage Doors are large and heavy and someone will need to help the driver to offload the door safely. All deliveries are carried out by a single driver so you must ensure someone is able to help offload the door. Please read our Garage Door Delivery Information to find out more
Can I Pay on Delivery?
Full payment is required with your online or telephone garage door order.
Can I Collect My New Garage Door?
Yes, we welcome collections from our Chichester depot in West Sussex, see our address details for collection. Please input our address in the delivery address field when making your online payment. We can also arrange collection direct from the garage door factory if it is nearer to your location.
Are My Personal Details Secure at Garage Door Superstore?
Yes we use a Protx SSL secure server to process your online garage door payment and your personal details are never passed to any third party.
Am I Paying VAT on My New Garage Door?
Yes we are a VAT registered UK based company and so VAT is charged on your new garage door at the applicable rate in force at the time of sale, all our prices are shown INCLUSIVE of VAT.
Where Can I Find Detailed Technical Information About Garage Doors That Aren't On Garage Door Superstore?

What's the Difference Between a GRP & an ABS Garage Door?
GRP garage doors are handmade using fibreglass strips bonded to a steel frame for added strength. GRP doors can be either gloss white or an authentic woodgrain effect. ABS garage doors are made in a mould from a form of plastic and don't have a steel sub-frame, they are therefore lighter but not as strong. ABS doors are only available in white. I Don't Understand the Difference Between Canopy (Trackless) and Retractable (Tracked) Garage Doors?

Can I Automate a Canopy Door?
Yes but we do not recommend this, if possible choose a retractable garage door.
What‘s Included With My New Garage Door?
You get the garage door with full installation instructions, the springs and gear to lift the door and the locking mechanism. Up & Over & side hinged doors are supplied as standard with a handle unless otherwise requested. You do not get a frame unless specified. A basic fixing kit containing screws, bolts and brackets is included with the garage door, this varies depending on the manufacturer.
Do I Need a Frame with My New Garage Door?
Yes you will need a frame for all garage doors except sectional & roller doors. You can buy a new up & over or side hinged door and fix it to your existing frame or purchase a new frame with your door. Frames are available in primed, powder coated or plastisol coated steel. They are also available in Timber or GRP on request. Some Up & Over and Side Hinged Garage Doors are supplied with a factory fitted frame as standard.
Can I Get Help With The Installation of My New Garage Door?
The garage doors and automatic openers available from Garage Door Superstore are intended for installation by someone with reasonable DIY skills or by your choice of builder or tradesmen. All doors are supplied with complete installation instructions and we also offer free telephone support.
