Woodrite have also announced a new range of solid built wooden doors called the Balmoral Range.

The Woodrite Balmoral range dispense with steel bracings in favour of mortice and tenon joints for a nicer look and give the door more strength. The range includes current designs and an additional 8 designs with raised panels, such as the Padbury – as shown below.

The Balmoral Range do not use steel bracing across the back of the door making the back of the door as attractive as the front. The garage door is given strength by 43mm timber rails across the back with mortice joints. The running gear for the door fixes directly to the door panel giving a neat interior.

The GarageDoorSuperstore.co.uk have worked with Woodrite since their inception and have been impressed by the garage door production as well as the help and support form their Customer Service team.

Be Careful Where You Leave Your Garage Door Remote

Thieves have gained easy entry into people’s homes by smashing the window of their car and grabbing the garage door remote.  My advice is to keep your garage door remote on your key ring or in your pocket.

You might be surprised how much the value of the goods add up to that you store in your garage or worse still if you’ve got a door linking through to your main house, thieves could get a bumper hoard.

How To Find Cheap Garage Doors Prices In The UK

Right now, there is no specific website called garage doors prices UK, but there are a host of sites that offer you the opportunity to have a look at their wares before deciding what you want to purchase. Whether you have already built a garage, or else one came with the home you bought (and you will always pay extra for a garage), this, combined with the cost of your car, is a fairly sizeable investment. With this in mind, it is amazing that so few people actually take the time to really think about what kind of garage door they will buy. For most, it seems like an afterthought, yet the quality of this purchase could be the difference between having a car and being the victim of automobile theft.

With such a multitude of choices on the market, it seems like taking the easy option of buying the first one you see is also the right option. In fact, this could be a grievous error. This will only become apparent after buying a cheap garage door only to find that a criminal has easily penetrated it and has either stolen the car or badly damaged it whilst making off with other items stored in the garage. It’s important to know that ‘cheap’ doesn’t necessarily mean poor quality just like it also doesn’t mean value for money. If you have saved a hundred pounds or more on a door only to find the above scenario happen to you, you wouldn’t feel like you got a bargain would you?

It’s all about buying a door be it electric or manual (electric is recommended) that is suited to your particular need. If you buy a digital camera for example but don’t intend on using it that often, then you will not bother buying a professional camera as its extra features will be unnecessary. You can perhaps get away with a cheap garage door if you don’t intend on using it much. If your car is parked inside the garage or is out most of the day and you only use it periodically, then perhaps you can avoid unnecessary expense. But if you use your garage frequently, a cheap door may not stand up well to the wear and tear of constant opening.

That being said, you need to look online because there are an enormous variety of garage doors in the UK with companies falling over themselves to get you the best deal. You could say that it’s a buyers market now, so expect to find garage doors prices UK to be much lower than you anticipated. If you can afford it, try and get a custom built door because nothing protects your car better whilst looking classy than something that is tailor made for you. Rather than having a generic sized door, you can get one that fits your garage perfectly.

Never underestimate what a garage door can do for you. Your garage is designed to be a safe haven for your vehicle but this is only possible by buying a door that is durable and of high quality. You should be able to find great garage door prices in the UK but this doesn’t mean that you have to sacrifice when it comes to quality. The security of you car is the most important thing, don’t cut corners or you will regret it later.
